ALTERNATE ENDINGS
Below is a list of three Alternate Endings that give romantic conclusions for Link. Each ships Link with either Ilia, Midna, and Zelda. None of these alternates should be considered canon or part of the official novel/story. These are alternate endings, written purely for fun and to show what could have happened had Link stayed in Ordon to be with Ilia, had Link tried to stop Midna from leaving, or had he returned to the castle.
Pick your favorite shipping to read how Link's story could have ended in a "happily ever after" or click on all of them just to have fun imagining the different possibilities the game presented. Or if you're hardcore and don't wish to stray from canon, feel free to end your experience without any of these alternates. We hope you enjoyed your time with the novel and will continue to return or tell friends about the amazing experience you had!
LILIA ALTERNATE ENDING - A scene taken from the Epilogue was rewritten to make this ending.
MILINK ALTERNATE ENDING - The ending scene from Chapter 47: The Saddest Tear was rewritten to make this ending.
ZELINK ALTERNATE ENDING - This alternate is more like an extension of the overall story, a version of what could have come after. It occurs post-epilogue and is completely new material.
